It’s entertaining but drags at some points. Essentially it’s two documentaries. One about the east area rapist and another about Michelle and her writing. I would have preferred it to be split into two. I would have much rather enjoyed a doco series solely dedicated to the east are rapist. It’s pushes the theory that Michelle was some sort of crime buster who was going to solve the case of the east area rapists. I hints that Michelle is thinking on some sort of elevated wave length that the trained detectives aren’t. It pushes the notion that her work helped solve the case but really it didn’t. Nothing she did helped solve the case but it’s made in a way that makes you think she did. At the end of the day the case was solved by good ol police and forensic work. Another irritating factor were the “citizen detectives” as they were called. If that is even a thing. Some guy who’s a crime buff like a lot of us are but now for some reason thinks he can solve cold cases. He helped Michelle and at the end he’s signings books like he’s some kind of celebrity??? It’s worth a watch especially if you’ve followed the cold case of the East area rapist/golden state killer.
