absolutely loved Coolie! For me, this is a 5-star film all the way. To be honest, it felt more like a Lokesh Kanagaraj movie than a typical Rajini sir mass entertainer, but that was part of the magic. Lokesh’s signature style, the layered screenplay, and all the twists and turns kept me hooked from start to finish.
Rajini sir as Deva was nothing short of electrifying. The de-aging was done brilliantly—it looked smooth and believable, and it didn’t take away from his performance at all. Seeing him in those younger, fiery moments was pure nostalgia, but then his natural mass screen presence and charisma in the current-day scenes gave me literal goosebumps. Even at 74, no one can own the screen like him.
The music was just top-notch. Anirudh Ravichander carried the soul of the film. Chikitu had that bouncy energy that set the tone right away, Monica was a total crowd-pleaser with its viral vibe and choreography, Powerhouse was exactly what the title promised—high-voltage, mass-heavy energy, and Uyirnaadi Nanbane added a softer, emotional layer that balanced out all the action. On top of that, Anirudh’s BGM was a beast—thundering, stylish, and always giving the right punch to every moment.
