I think most of you basically ranked it before it even got released. And I think the basic point of these kind of reviews is to help people with choosing their books. This book is undoubtedly and unmistakably a 4-5 star book.
It's a book about a mother who sees her husband loving and taking care of their child. It's intersectional. It's beautiful. It's diverse. You will see men of different ethnicities and colors represented in the book. This seems very empowering and important for so many people around the world who aren't represented in children's books. The story is for the new parents. I think that the main focus of the book is to spread the message of love and compassion. AND Y'ALL ARE FREAKING MAD ABOUT THIS!!
One of the critics pointed out that 'she's written this story about unconditionally fatherly love because she's seeing it for the first time. Because she's seen both sides of father parenting.'
Overall the book is beautiful. And don't degrade a book because of the author.
