It's better to watch it without the expectation that's going to measure up to the original. Standalone, a decent Friday night cops vs. robbers movie, nothing to write home about. Weak story, but it's to be expected. This was more for the nostalgia of the fans of the first movie, which by the way was good, but a bit too hyped up too. Some have compared the original with Heat. Different times. There's a reason why Heat was never meant to have a sequel. Otherwise, you get movies like DOT2, which end up being a more serious version of Ocean's 11. Gerald Butler just doing his thing. Haters, give him a break. He's 55 bro. Been doing this type of movies for decades now. Not as easy as it seems. Not making excuses for him, but c'mon. Bruce, Sly, Arnold, Pacino, De Niro and so many more have gone the same way. At the end of the day, we keep watching their performances, even the less glamorous like this one, because they deliver a bit of solid entertainment. Do you think this movie is bad and you are disappointed with him? Try the same movie without him and see what happens. Jackson delivered too, btw. Solid. Not trying to be fancy, staying on what he knows. That I appreciate. And the rest of the cast, the setting in Europe. Overseas entertainment gotta eat too. I just hope no one was stupid enough to go watch it in theaters for some serious entertainment! But, for a night of Netflix, it's fine. Please, no sequels. Let the story die a decent death.

This was a little less than 2 hours of just shit. No heads or tails. It's obviously not about a civil war. It's not about war journalism or any other journalism, period. There are far better shit movies to watch. This is one more of those movies who wants to be avant-garde, thought-provoking, and underdelivers by a country mile. It's so disappointing I rather watch Amazon Prime B or C movies, where at least I can laugh about how shitty they are. This is a Hollywood director's shit take on the bullshit that's inside his head. Needless to say, he has never been in any actual real conflict in his whole sorry life. It's like Hollywood assholes like this one actually want shit like this to happen or at the very least continue getting shit ideas into idiotic people. God I'm so glad I didn't have to pay to see this turd of a movie! Don't listen to the reviews, they are full of shit. There are scores of war movies, journalism movies, and coming of age type shit. This is just roadkill. I wish I could give it negative stars.
