Imagine for a second, you are at home looking for a game to play. Tired of all the competitive FPS's you decide to give this game called "Insurgency: Sandstorm" a chance. You think to yourself "how good of a game can it be if it used to be a free mod?".
You load it up, pick your class and think, ok great just another generic modern warfare.
You spawn, mess around for a bit, get used to the controls, shoot your pistol and go. While you're moving, you notice its incredibly empty. "so boring" you think.
Then you hear ear it.
The crack.
The undeniable sound of a bullet breaking the speed of sound inches from your skull. You flinch, go prone and your heart beat races. Another crack, you see the bullet hit the sand of you. You're panicking, freaking out not sure what to do. You crawl. You crawl for your life and your heart feels like its about to give out.
More cracks, and you decide to make a run for you.
You die.
You look at the time played on the game: 500+ Hours.
"Lots of fun, huh?"
