Fantastic. Well-researched, paranoia-free, surprising and profound. I hesitated before buying this book because so many have disappointed by spiraling into the Rabbit Hole of conspiracy theories without evidence.
Jacobsen manages to write a compelling narrative on a multifaceted, sprawling subject. The sourcing and endnotes that take up the last 100 pages or so confirm that even the most bizarre aspects of the story have a firm basis in reality.
