I am a long time listener and have great respect for Mr. Zakaria. However his personal comment about how Trumps current trial in NY being politically motivated was uncalled for and poorly thought out. Fareed's comment that he doubts that any other person whose name is not Trump would have been indicted. No one else could have even attempted the crime the former president is a used of. I could offer to pay hush money but I can't influence the out come of an election; and that is what he is indicted for. And of course the former president is using Fareeds comments to bolster his politically motivated defense. I remain a fan of Mr. Zakaria but I am very disappointed in this lack of judgment and analysis.
