There were a couple of funny lines in the movie.I found the storyline to be all over the place.(sets were pretty nicely done. )The actors were interesting to watch...but two hours was a bit long..I don't understand all the hype.

I did not feel this film captured Aretha's true brilliance. (The young girl that played young Re. did well , ) There was drama that went nowhere and a weak story line. I agree with her family It could have been done better.

Disappointed,and bored...the end was better with a very short cameo ,of Dick Van Dyke.he was wonderful...waste of money and my grandsons age 10,and 8 ,said too long.
