I watched Sam Bahadur on first day in the afternoon. The theatre was relatively empty, I guess it being a working day. I went to watch with my teen son and husband and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Vicky Kaushal becomes Sam Maneckshaw. His mannerisms and physical transformation with a booming voice is marvelous. He is there in every scene and does full justice to his role. Kudos to Meghana Gulzar's direction. Painstaking research went into the movie. I was so glad to see that they did not add unnecessary masala to the events. Overall, makes you feel so much pride in our soldiers and the tough battles of past that we have triumphed over. Sam Maneckshaw was a towering personality. The cast and director did full justice in bringing his illustrious life and career to celluloid. Loved Fatima Sana Shaikh's Indira and Sania Malhotra as Silloo were really good! Go and watch it in the movie theatre near you.
