This is one of those "it's so campy it's good" type deals. I grew up in the 90s and witnessed the unfolding of flicks like Independence Day or The Day After Tomorrow, and this hit the nostalgia factor right on the head. Seems like the actors were genuinely having fun with the film, and in-between the Ant-Man esque CGI it was a fun watch. Definitely gives vibes like it's one long Family Guy cutaway gag and it's awesome for that, never taking itself too seriously while casually saving the earth and discovering space stuff haha. If I had to call this film anything, it'd be The Independence Day After The Rise of The AI from the Matrix with Old Chris Pratt and the hot chick from James Bond. Seriously though great movie. 5 stars, solid B+
