Pradhan addresses a massive socio-political issue that has been prevalent in Bengal, especially in rural areas, for decades. Although narrated in a populist format with a fine blend of comedy and drama, the incidents that the movie attempts to warn its audience about are darker and gorious. Other than Dev, special mention has to be made about Anirban Chakrabarti who has proved that he isn't only confined within the walls of a protagonist but can be a strong antagonist as well.
