Absolutely impressed with how well written this book was. I’ve never read a book that genuinely kept me guessing. Right when I thought I knew what was happening, another twist! I genuinely did not see the ending coming, though it was the biggest twist yet I am disappointed with the ending. Obviously this leaves me to believe another book will be coming, but to be utterly entranced by a great book, written well, hanging on to every word, ( I read this in a day) to be left waiting, God knows how long to figure out what happened just sucks, for a lack of a better word. I read a lot in this genre and to say it’s probably the best I’ve read in awhile is an understatement but I do share in the fact that the ending threw me a bit. The build up was insane, the answers and then the cliffhanger. I do understand this ending will hopefully have even reluctant readers eagerly awaiting another book, which I hope comes as quickly as it can and plays out the way we all want but something a bit more satisfying would have been nice as I was very impressed with the book as a whole. If I had not read this as an avid Crime Junkie/ Audio Chuck listener I would never know this was Ashley’s first book or that she was a true crime podcast host/ CEO of an audio company. To everyone who has read and was dissatisfied, here hoping for speedy answers do what happens with Margot next. 🤞🏻
