Marakas Of Sound Combustion

This is an excellent, well produced, well acted, atmospheric series; a labour of love for John Turturro.

Beautiful cinematography, haunting landscapes, you can almost feel the cold in the living room. However it just didn’t do it for me as a thriller, because it lacked shock value, and ultimately I didn’t engage with the characters. Also I’m not sure what Val Kilmer was trying to achieve her other than to add yet another weight to his sunken film career. Scandi Blanc!
