You'll find yourself somewhere between Dune, Star Wars, ancient Rome, the Matrix, and Lord of the Rings (with some stylistic touches pointing to Tommy Shelby and Nazi Germany). There's an engaging storyline, but the writing lacks the intellect, maturity, poetics, and depth of a true epic; special effects, violence, and vulgarity distract from this and can satisfy popular audiences. There are interesting characters and good acting, but overall, the story needs an intellectual and/or philosophical boost to level this up from 'okay entertainment' to a substantial 'classic'.
