Episode 5 and I lost about 99% of my interest. I’ve been a Star Wars fan since I saw the first theatrical run at age. Before it was a franchise. After 5 episodes, I still don’t have any empathy for the characters. The entire episode was just a long drawn out battle that didn’t need to happen. In fact, it shouldn’t have happened. The Sith (or whatever) should have been able to stop Mae long before she reached the Jedi. And at the end, nothing. There was zero character development (at least not in characters that matter anymore), and we are no closer to understanding what the “mystery” is. I don’t follow actors and don’t know anything about the ones in Alcolyte, but I wish Disney have put a bit more effort into finding actors who could pull off the rolls. Maybe for people who have read all of the Old Republic books and played the games, this series would seem a better fit. For me, I will watch the rest because it’s Star Wars, but I’m really hopping everyone meets a horrible and permanent ending so this arc can die.
