I’m about 1/2 through the film and am kind of disappointed. Brendon’s performance is amazing given such poorly written dialogue. The other characters acting is terrible, one note angry delivery and just poor acting all around. I really wanted to live this film, but so far only Brendan’s performance is keeping me engaged.

I’m now into episode two and I’m still very interested in the story. Im happy to see that nothing reminds me of the trilogy— the technology seems fresh and the editing is very exciting. If you’re a LOTR fan, I do t see how you could hate so hard. So fat The Rings of Power is delivering a great adventure back to Middle Earth. I highly recommend this show and I think it will have legs. Initial resistance, then many will embrace it.
