GIVING THIS THREE STARS BUT TO ME THE SHOW IS MORE LIKE 2.5 STARS WORTHY!! here's why: now the acting idc about. they're kids. i have no hatred for the actors or the casting. and i'm not one to complain about the overall accuracy of the show to the book. if you want something that's 100% faithful, just go read the books again. but here's what i did have a problem with: 1) the fight scenes. every single fight scene was just underwhelming and lasted two seconds. 2) the unimportance of dyslexia and adhd. in the books, adhd and dyslexia is a huge part of it but i feel like in the show they just mentioned it once or twice. 3) the lotus casino episode. honestly liked the scene better in the movies. 4) characters figuring everything out immediately. i just wish when it came to these types of scenes they added a little flashback here and there to show them piecing together information otherwise the reveal just falls flat to me. 5) this is nitpicky but grover's characterization. i wanted him hungrier. 6) idk the show just seemed rush. every single episode gave off that vibe because they tried to fit all of those events within eight 30-40 minute episodes. idk how this could have been fixed but yeah. there are other things that kinda pissed me off but they're mostly nitpicky. HERE'S THE STUFF I DID ENJOY 1) episode 5. idky but episode 5 was the most memorable to me 2) the ending with gabe. 3) i liked the defeating medusa scene. 4) "I am impertinent" iykyk overall, i didn't hate this season but i didn't love it. it was just more like a meh to me. the show kept me entertained but i feel like that's the bare minimum. i think i like it better as a show than as a book adaptation. if they come out with future seasons i will be watching though just to watch it. i saw someone say the show would have been better as a cartoon and you know what i agree.
