This movie kept my attention, and I think that many points made sense. The depression was pretty well portrayed.
However, I think the way the mom & dad didn't THINK more about what should have been done was not realistic at ALL. If the dad knows his son is self-harming and feeling depressed, why in the world would he KEEP A GUN that he knows his son knows about. Then not listening to the advice of a health care provider, KNOWING their son is suicidal because he cried? NO.....aggravating to say the least.
So many people end up in these positions because they care more about their job and personal life than their child. He was crying for help, and he received NONE.
