This storyline had a lot of potential, but the combination of (mostly) poorly written characters, a score that often didn't fit the scenario (leading to a distinct lack of tension in some scenes). I found it difficult to empathise with almost all of the characters in this show - everyone is angry at everybody else, snapping at each other and just generally not being nice people. It felt like the writers had never experienced a normal work environment before - everybody treated the work experience student horribly almost from the get-go... but equally, she was obnoxious and entitled (which was maybe meant to come across as naïve?). It was sometimes a struggle to watch, with me making comments out loud about how ridiculous the character interactions were. Even so, the background to the show and plot in general I felt were really interesting, and terrifying to think about and explore - it's just a shame the mood was perhaps not translated very well to the screen. If I could I'd probably give this a 2.5/5 instead of 3.
