Well written and you feel like you get to know the characters well but that’s almost the problem with this book. The characters aren’t likable. At times too much is said between them, others not enough but not in a mysterious way. Dre had the chance to explain his love for Celestial to Big Roy but didn’t. The altercation between Roy & Dre could have been portrayed more as an outpouring and release but came off as a childish front yard brawl gone too far that just made Roy less likable in the moment. Celestial was just a spoiled brat from the beginning. Great arc and pace, just hard to feel like you wanted anything good for anyone except Big Roy.
