Corny at times, but isn’t that why we loved the original trilogy and subsequently the prequels? Shows are for entertainment, simple as that. And it’s Star Wars, which was only ever meant to be entertaining, not life alteringly philosophical and profound. Lighten up, relax, and watch the show. The Star Wars fan base is its own worst enemy. I’d rather continue watching interesting new stories. Will some be stronger than others or will viewers prefer one over the other? Yes, of course. However, again, it’s a corny universe to begin with, with sound and fire in space. There are so many other details that could be nitpicked, but why? It’s JUST a show.
