the early 2000s fall vibes are great. i miss when i could get involved in the show and didn't find it so insufferable. their outfits, the music, the warm colored lighting, all great. it's my comfort show and i watch it all the time. in spite of all this, i hate this show deeply. every time i turn it off, it's out of frustration. it's so, so whitewashed/racist and riddled with stereotypes and the "not like other girls" sexist attitude. lorelai and rory, along with many other characters are emotionally immature, rude, judgmental, self-centered and hypocritical. it has never really seemed funny to me or made me laugh but the humor is always presented in a rhythmic way and i don't understand half the references so i don't usually mind those parts. the acting is horrendous but expected from a sitcom. overall this show is so flawed that it will eventually be unwatchable to me and it makes me sad.
