one reviewer said this is the scariest serial killer horror/thriller since The Silence of the Lambs and i want to slap that writer in the face. Nicholas Cage stars as...a clown i guess? he was a goofy weirdo and his performance, which was supposed to inspire fear i think, had me laughing out loud on the couch. this movie somehow went on for 100 minutes and all i can tell you is that the ending was glaringly obvious maybe 30 minutes in, the acting was super weird and campy (in a bad way), the plot was disjointed and poorly written and there wasn't a single character to empathize with or root for. total snooze fest, skip this one and if you have friends giving it a stellar review it might be time to assess their value in your life.

a review in the trailer said this film was like if David Lynch directed Poltergeist and boy were they right. i finished it confused as hell and kinda bored and irritated I'd wasted my evening. if you feel like watching a movie where almost nothing happens, or you like still photography, this one's for you. otherwise, steer clear.. it's literally just an hour and a half of things taking too long and leading nowhere. the last 30 seconds of the film are the creepiest but they're not even that creepy honestly. what a waste of time

was excited to watch a horror movie but unfortunately watched this instead. i would give it negative stars if that were an option.. Three disparate narratives shoved into one film that leaves the viewer feeling confused as to why any of it took place or matters. A third of the way into this I literally said to Tess as though she could hear me "you deserve whatever's about to happen to you" coupled with the most dramatic eye roll i could manage. This was then followed by a poorly constructed hour of the stuff of cinematic nightmares (not in a good way) and cheesy horror tropes executed so obviously as to be insulting. tries to be intelligent and self-referential but ultimately flops, hard. DO NOT WATCH.
