The character Alex was too arogant for someone that supposedly homeless with a kid, and selfish mom. Either that or the actress was just not good & couldn't show emotion.

This is not a serious movie. Not humorous either. Too ridiculous to be serious detective movie, not funny enough to be a comedy.
