Your typical show where the flawed American girl is portrayed to be perfect and above everyone else. No character development whatsoever. Emily is very unlikeable. Comparing it to aesthetically similar movies/ shows like The Devil Wears Prada or Gossip Girl, they made Emily's character so unlikeable because they are not giving her character any depth, awareness, nor development. Through the writers eyes, she is just perfect which they fail to portray. With the budget of this show, it's disappointing the story and characters weren't written better.
