There are plenty of admirable elements in Second Chance. The English romantic comedy is written by Oscar winner Emma Thompson, directed by Bridesmaids director Paul Feig, stars the potential new darling of the genre Emilia Clarke, and is set to timeless songs by George Michael. The impeccable recipe, however, is hampered by high expectations. Despite being full of grace and full of good intentions, the feeling when leaving the cinema is that all these people together would be capable of much more.
