My students (rising8graders) read this offering during their summer break as required reading for their American history class . A project, including a reflective essay and answering questions reflective of moments in the story . I have used this book for over four years and it is a hit with all sorts of kids. The book also is used as I prepare my 8th graders for a remarkable trip to DC in the spring, including Fords Theater, Petersen house, Lincoln Memorial.
