There’s no point… or plot. Midsommar is so unnecessarily violent, UNBELIEVABLY graphic & incredibly triggering. It’s quite *literally* like watching a house burn down but you can’t NOT watch. SPOILER & TW: For anyone commenting about the sex scene being “comedic relief”, or saying it was even remotely consensual … You don’t want to call it r*pe because it was a *man* who was DRUGGED. He was clearly not all there & was given an enhancer before he went into the room.
