This film is both the depiction of the true story that took place here in California and spread throughout the world, and at the same time, especially the beginning half of the movie, it was seriously impacting!
It was funny, it was extremely inspiring, it was what one's heart would need on any day, and the acting was excellent. All the three main characters were so good. The audience in the theatre clapped about 6 different times throughout the film followed with "Woo"s here and there. It really made you feel that way, and I was seriously holding back tears left and right during the first half of the movie because you felt so good about what was happening that it made you overwhelmingly happy. The humor was perfectly placed as well; it was just right.
The 3rd quarter of the movie is where the drama begins and you see where some of the characters hit each of their struggles, and although that slowed down the clapping because it was the hard times, that's when you saw the rawness and reality of the history of this true story.
Then the ending has a mix of that and the great beginning, and after the film ends, there is a great showing of pictures and video with the story of all the actual people that were depicted in the film and telling you where they're at now.
I am not part of the churches and denominations portrayed in the story and have a little different of belief in a couple of areas, but the heart of the story hits for anyone, Christian or non-Christian. Very well directed movie and I really felt inspired and realized that people are still out there hurting and Jesus is the only solution for them and the message needs to keep getting out. Definitely a must-see.
