An acute, observer? Maybe not recommended; watching romance for fun? This movie is great. This is NOT what you can find in real life. A sloppy summer romance between a country boy and a lady from city on a summer vacation ends up a lifelong love, one of the most unrealistic love stories. There are some morals to mention though.
Why sloppy? The boy falls in love in the very first sight with a 17-year-old girl, both drenched in teenage fresh hormones, and believe he has found his ONE. Although the girl has to go back where she belongs, he stays in love for years and never gets over.
Why unrealistic? The couple barely get to know each other. They date for less than three months which, according to psychological researches, is hell of a short time to someone. Additionally, it is told in the story that they fought a lot and disagree about a plenthora of things, but it does not matter as long as they have feelings for one another; again, in agreement with matrimonial consultants, difference in core beliefs is a serious red flag in a relationship. Then, surprisingly, the girl meets, and falls in love with, another boy and even marries him while still thinking about the first significant other. Finally, the affectionate couple, now having one foot in the grave, die incredibly at the same time sleeping peacefully in a hospital's bed.
If I am to talk about the film fairly, I should point out some morals, too. Some scenes show that parents welcome the boyfriend with open arms, thereby giving their daughter a sense of security which results in honesty and proper supervision of the families. Besides, the story implies that to make major decisions in love, you should stop living for others and take yourself as the paramount priority. Last but not least, even though the plot does not appeal to my logic (it is not even intended to!), it depicts loyalty and fondness in the elderliness which can be a good model.
To conclude, The extent to which you will like the film depends on your perspective. In case you are looking for a movie to peer at for a good experience, you will probably enjoy a little. But if you are a tender-hearted person, ready to shed tears, this is the right movie for you
