Bad directing, editing, and pacing make an interesting story quite dull and ponderous. Typical Guy Richie overproduced steroid-fueled-actors-being-hardmen-fiction posing as fact.

Absolutely hilarious, subtle and slapstick, quick witted and with a bucket of heart. Love this show and hope it gets renewed for many more seasons.

Appalling. Historically inaccurate, misses out all the most interesting parts of Alexander's political and military life, and even barely shows him as gay. There are reviews saying this show is somehow 'woke' ( as if that's a bad thing?), but it isn't, it's far worse. It's a conservative right wing straight washing of history, that, perhaps most disappointingly, is boring. Plus, Alexander and his fellow blonde Macedonians are all portrayed by dark haired actors straight out of a US teen drama. Pathetic and frankly insulting piece of right wing propaganda masquerading as 'documentary'.

Poorly written, acted, edited, and directed. Pacing is terrible. Character actions dont make sense. Why did they even keep the 30 seconds Bruce Willis appears? Literally adds nothing but a name on the poster. Cohesion doesnt exist. Scenes are just stuck together, and sometimes the change between them is jarring. Sound mixing is terrible in places. And the worst thing about it is they make what should be a thrilling subject seem rather flat and dull.

Great game at first, terrible over time. Playing as part of a 2 man crew, at first I enjoyed sailing, finding treasure, outrunning skeleton ships. But thats about the whole depth of the game, unless you can get a crew of 4 together. Missions are practcally identical, just a different island. Riddle quests are the same. Then you have the other players who ignore the pirate code (which is what being a pirate is about, historically speaking) and just attack anything they see. Most frustrating aspect is being able to fire a character from a cannon. Want to engage in a sea battle? Dont bother, you'll be firing away then attacked from behind by someone shot onto your boat,and dead before you know it. Then you'll respawn to be killed by them instantly on respawn. The balance in the game is terrible, absolutely awful. If you can get a crew of 4 friends on a galleon, you'll love this game, otherwise dont bother.
