SPOILER ALERTS!!! I had such high hopes for this show since obsessing over the books for months. Maybe it’s because it’s a BBC show but the acting is so flat. There’s either over the top forced emotion or it’s all flat and monotone most of the time. The actual story itself, the details the whole murder mystery is mostly cut out there’s no depth or build up it’s just big jumps and then it’s over. None of the characters personality was captured. I didn’t like how they portrayed pips relationships with her family. She was completely blocked away from her parents and joshua and even suspected her father which ruined it for me, idk if that was a spoiler? If so I apologise I’ll just put a warning anyways. But bottom line is, huge disappointment in the shows version of the story, the characters, their personalities and how it’s all been portrayed. Won’t be rewatching, massive fan majorly disappointed :( :(
