James McCuaig

As a musician who has held Avenged Sevenfold in such high regard for their melodic sensibilities and songwriting prowess, I too hastily dismissed them as a creative group after the release of 'Hail To The King', which I fervently disliked. This album has renewed all love I previously held for the band and their music. I would consider this my hands-down unforseen favourite album of 2023. It's been a long time since I've heard a new album that demands I listen to it from start to finish uninterpreted.
