I had some issues with Us because it wad confusing but Nope had a coherent and pretty neat little plot with a tidy ending. Ricky Park "Jupiter" is introduced early as a character who also exists in this fringe business of Hollywood entertainment like the Hayward Horses. As a child star who now runs a tourist park. I think of him as the second protagonist, and the B story ties back into the main event as the movie goes on. There are some complaints about the monster. This is fair, any monster/alien movie should have discussion on how the creature was handled and revealed/not revealed. Also, it's silly folks are mad that Em's character was maybe gay "for no reason". It's literally just a character trait and doesn't have to be a big part of the film and the film is not about anyone's sexuality. Em's flirting shows her character is sassy, brave, and maybe it's supposed to hint at why she's not on the family ranch with their dad. It does exactly the same as making OJ's character single. OJ took over the family business, he is reserved, quiet, and more in tune with animals than with people.
