This was a wonderful little movie, and quite enjoyed the whole thing, but I love a good mockumentary anyway. I can see many children finding this tedious and boring, but I truly believe Dean Fleischer Camp's target audience was trying to touch the inner child that resides within us all, and try to repress as we get older. This was just a good "feel good" movie, with no gunfire, no real hatred, no dystopian factor, but only about the feelings of a little being, who is amazed and sometimes frightened of the "big world" outside his comfortable confines. This was heartwarming and a reminder that fear of loss and a sense of feeling overwhelmed sometimes with what is happening in our little world that hit home for me. I liked it, and when I think of Marcel...I smile.
