The trailer grabbed me right away because I’m a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino as well as the era that this movie is set in: the seventies. Unfortunately, the trailer was a far better film than the film itself. I wanted so much to like this movie. The premise was good, the locale workable and interesting, the cinematography quite nice but the writing was lacking, the dialogue too simple, the conclusion abrupt and unnecessarily dramatic. The main character made some decisions that had be grinding my teeth because of how stupid they were, even considering the strange and admittedly stupid circumstances. Even my sister, who is a huge sucker for shark B-movies, thought it was a bad film.
