This film didn’t feel like a movie, it felt like real life. Movies set in the countryside always bring back memories of my childhood, and this one, set in a village, was especially relatable.
The storytelling is unique, with each half of the film moving from happiness to sadness, ending in a deeply moving tragedy. I found myself crying during both sad parts and couldn’t fully enjoy the second happy scene, knowing sadness was coming.
I’d recommend this film to those who can handle real pain and tragedy. Though it was a bit slow at times, that pacing helped convey the depth of emotion.
