Greater for the sum of its parts than its overall narrative. Gadot nails the performance bringing forth a heroine with grace, intelligence, compassion and enough raw power and action to engage. The villains kind of fell flat with Wiig delivering what I expected as Cheetah. Pascal's depiction of Maxwell Lord had strong moments but ultimately faltered, falling into high camp. Overall, a great bit of cinema with a superior flourish of an end credit scene that serves as due homage and perfect punctuation by Jenkins. The chemistry between Chris PIne and Gal Gadot is palpable and the film very much steps into pure romance on several occasions. Not the greatest DC offering thus far, but a worthy sequel in which 151 minutes of escapism flies by.
