Another violence filled plot with no sense of what makes a good story continuing with revenge killings and over the top acting. It seems like good movie for audience and reviewers is only when some throats are slit, blood flows and humans butchered like ants. Mentally sick directors and writers keep doling out banal stuff freon violence. Don’t waste time on such sick stuff

Another brutal violent and sexual assault filled scenes movie in continuation of a recent trend of senseless movie making in Malayalam with no story and worst sort acting. The people who make such movies are also on drugs it seems like the characters they create and some sort of banal pleasure people seem to be getting watching such third rate stuff in the name of cinema

One of the most horrible and disappointing movies seen in recent times continuing the streak of some very bad movies from Malayalam movie industry which otherwise used to make good cinema. Senseless story with everyone in some fantasy village being gun trotting adults attacked by goons seeking revenge and all getting killed by them. More than half the time is in killing and nowadays Malayalam cinema like some Korean movies have got obsessed with stories depicting killing humans brutally and otherwise as if humans are the biggest danger to the life on earth and all needs to be eliminated and killed. No story, no sense and worst acting and direction. Absolute waste of time and money.

People should avoid watching such violent movies which portray humans are germs or insects to be butchered, killed and eliminated with such violent scenes that it would numb minds. There is plenty of violence around the world which has only led to misery and deaths and one shouldn’t spend leisure time as well watching the same on screen. Something seriously wrong with the psyche of the makers to make such terrible movies

With high expectation watched this movie only to get totally disappointed. Often Mani Ratnam movies are more hype than substance which is the case with this one too. Although centred around the Sri Lankan Tamil issue nothing one could make out of the scenes showing the attacks and internal migration of the Tamil as to the reasons and the hardships faced. With all loose ends to the struggle itself the most important premise on which the movie is centred is never given any attention it deserves. Worst is the acting by the lead character especially Madhavan and Simran. Simran crying speaking on the telephone with her sons sums up her great skills. Even worse is Nandita Das with the final scenes crying with the child where on wonders whether the cry or laugh over such plastic and artificial emotions. The only saving grace is the child artiste and the songs else it would not have been worth watching.

Please don’t waste your precious time watching such senseless movie which has nothing but crass violence and crime which will put even hard core criminals to shame. The writer and the director have some serious mental illness which makes them create such horrible films which will in turn only add more negativity to the viewer. The protagonist brutally killing women just because his grandfather did so and hiding this is the supposedly big suspense. Acting by Fahad Fazil is getting repetitive with same stock expressions and the slow motion movements and fights have become so boring in Amal Neerad movie. Wonder these guys don’t have anything worthwhile to do than waste the time on making such stupid films instead of looking for some good stories to tell.

People should not go by the reviews in some reputed newspapers and news portal as they themselves do not have any idea of what is good or bad. This movie is best avoided by anyone with sane mind as senseless stuff in the name of good script and dialogue is peddled to fool and waste valuable time of filmgoers. Families should best avoid this dud movie where a child is shown as getting accidentally killed and cover up of the same is shown as some kind of togetherness and affection for each other. Something seriously wrong with the psyche of movie makers and people liking it

Its a below average film (copied without giving credits from English Movie "Straw Dogs") which loosely attempts to potray the violence against women with some deft camera work and background score and usual tricks at teasing and harassing women. It defies logic that the answer or solution to the problems which surfaces during the course of the movie is mindless violence unleashed by a subdued lead actor turned super hero with tricks which would best be described as stuff taken from a tom and jerry movie or children cartoon which surprisingly excites adult audience. Its pitiable that an experienced director doesn't have the imagination or ideas to present such an important and relevant issue in a meaningful and realistic manner rather than depend on cheap third rate run of the mill cinema tricks. There are several loose ends to the plot itself and its shocking that a village can only be made up of lumpen voyeuristic elements with no good soul to help or support.

An absolute senseless film with totally mindless acting and dialogues and a storyline which will put the worst of story writers to shame. The acting by the lead actors is the worst part and it's a pain to sit through even half an hour of this tortuous drama.

Mahesh Narayanan like Lijo Jose tries hard to go overboard with his ideas and writing as if to cater to a different level while in reality it comes out absolute comical and immature school stuff as seen from Takeoff to Malayankunju. Taking a natural disaster as background a story is cooked up with few characters and supposedly contemporary issues thrown in but the eventual experience is not only disappointing but an absolute waste of time and experience.
