Our Flag Means Death is a rare gem of a show that balances absurd comedy, improv and some of the most beautiful dramatic acting I've seen in a long time, and does it all equally well. It's a show about love, finding love after you've been told that it's not "for you", and the value of fighting for it.
It's beautiful, it's silly, it's one of the most visually impressive, daring television shows I've ever seen and I'm not kidding when I say that it changed me as a person. The protagonist leaves his easy life behind to pursue adventure and finds belonging, self-respect, and the love of his life in the process.
I can't say enough about it, it's just marvelous.
