The whole time I was watching, I was trying to compare it to the 2005 film 'King Kong'. Bree Larson being the 'main character' is really annoying. Her taking her photos really kind of makes me want her to die off. Some scenes were completely pointless, and had no further impact on the story being told. One thing that was bothered me was Kong looking like a cartoon. One thing the 2005 film had, was a realistic gorilla which had overgrown to it's unnatural size. This movie just CGI'd a fake looking 'Monkey' out of the Looney Toons or something. One thing I liked were the actors. Tom Hiddleston has an exciting role in this and is like they made the role, just for him. Not gonna lie, there are some amazing shots in this movie, due to it's CGI, which at times can be good. All in all, this movie doesn't come close to the 2005 'King-Kong' movie, I see this film as it's own and I think its poorly written/made.
