I got this book in 1963 for an art history class at ASU. It's the one hard cover book that I can't bear to let go in the digital age. Most complete and important overview of art history I know of. My old edition ended with modern art in the 1950's which includes an amazing period of development. I imagine that more recent editions may also feature art at least to the end of the 20th century.
