definitely disappointed with this film. i have seen all the previous films in the series, so i went in knowing what to expect, but this movie was pitiful. the plot was predictable, it doesn’t take a genius to know what’s about to happen next. the pacing is too slow, and when things start to go down it all happens too fast. there’s also a lot of grotesque and unnecessary imagery when it comes to incest, which didn’t add much of anything to the plot and could’ve been left out. there are a lot of scenes that don’t add anything to the story and are solely there for shock value, which it doesn’t even accomplish. it just leaves you confused. the only positives i can say is the actors really did a phenomenal job with what they had to work with, and the score was really well done. it’s definitely not worth seeing in theaters, you’re better off watching a recap.
