it’s a cute and sweet film. i love how it stayed true to it’s lgbqt+ message from it’s book version into its film way. the style was.. okay i wish it had more hints and light towards the orignal since this style just looks like the basic animated one but yeahh ? nothing really original and i thought in some aspects it was boring and looked like those low budget animation films. i thought nimona looked a little strange character wise ? but that was more a personal opinion. my main thing was just with how they changed the main “problem” without spoiling the whole film, i wish they kept the original idea that Ambrosius was jealous of Ballister, and my main dislike was they changed the time period ? i thought that time of “old time” fit the plot nicely but to make it modern felt a little strange? i loved the original book and was so excited to see this film. this is an okay adaptation, as most book to films are i should have had my hopes more realistically. i highly recommend reading the book, support the author, etc. (in the book they also go into Ambrosius’ and Ballister’s life together and the bound they shared, very cute)
