What I'm about to say is not as a matter of a fact because I do not know everyone personally but the way Chantel and her mom Karen are portrayed is very distasteful. They act as if they are better than others, with their noses stuck up in the air. The way they disrespected Pedro's grandmother when they visited the Campo the first time was horrible. They put down his family and his country and was very rude and unkind, it was hard to watch. They should've embraced Pedro's family and country and learned about his culture. Karen's husband Thomas needs to man up and take the lead. It appears the mom wears the pants. River and Winter seem to be the only normal people. Their older brother Royal is weird and he gives me abuser vibes. Pedro's mom and sister is no different, they act crazy and judgmental just like Chantel and her mom. I do believe they have a motive to get to the USA and they should be honest about it, keep it real. I like Pedro and I think he loves his family a lot and really wants to help them. He also really wants to be successful and take advantage of every opportunity afforded to him. I do think he loves Chantel but he also needs to man up to his mother respectfully when it comes to his marriage.
