I'll be honest, it takes a bit for this show to really get good, but by late Season 3, I was absolutely hooked. Somehow, the show just got better with every season (except for Season 7) and I found myself invested in almsot all of the characters. Yes it's a cartoon, but it's a damn good one. This is a must watch for all Star Wars fans.
