You can read long, scathing reviews, or just go and enjoy it. Is it perfect? No. Is it fun? Yes. It's scratching that Roman itch I've had for a while and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
It is as gratuitous with nudity as Game of Thrones which apparently was fine, so why the hate?
It is less gory than Spartacus which apparently was also fine, so why the hate?
The characters are good and well rounded with nice arcs.
