A great story of childhood in a rich but divided family, 3 very different children carelessly parented at Chilcombe estate. They create a theatre by the sea. WW11 comes, throwing them in different paths and scattering the old order. It is Christabel , heroine and eldest we follow most closely. I didnt want it to end, a sign of a really involving story.
