I love horror-as-social-commentary and the premise of this film reeled me in and kept me hooked. Having said that, the whole thing is frustrating, it feels like it has most of the elements of a truly great film (a powerful and contemporarily relevent theme approached with nuance concerning race and white privilege; great photography, some really interesting imagery; great performances with some solid dialogue perfectly delivered; good atmosphere and soundtrack, etc) and yet somehow it's not quite cohesive (it ALMOST is). I just feel like it could be very slightly re-edited into a better film. It's worth your time but ultimately feels like a near miss.
