Absolutely do NOT trust, or believe, ANYTHING this dev team says about their game!!!!! They have taken advantage of their community for years, and have consistently lied about more things with the game than can ever be counted. If you purchase this game, be prepared to not only spend money on a game, but also spend money on having to make numerous builds that will get patched over time making them unplayable if you wish to still be able to compete. Forcing you to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars making builds that can play with the current state of the game, which again, will only last for a very limited time because the devs will make changes within the game rendering your players useless. If you wish to try out their myteam mode, also be ready to spend a ton of money on cards that you do not want, just to have a small chance of potentially pulling a player card of the player you do want. Again, the devs in charge of this mode have and will lie to their community about everything within their game mode!! If wish I could give this game a negative 5 star rating. I absolutely DO NOT recommend purchasing or supporting anything involved with the franchise. ESPECIALLY DO NOT ALLOW YOUR YOUNG CHILDREN TO GET INVOLVED WITH THIS GANE OR FRANCHISE EITHER!! They have become completely predatory whose main focus is forcing consumers to spend more and more money in any way they can think of. They do NOT care about their game in any way. Their ONLY focus is getting as much money out of you as they possibly can. There has never been another game that will force you to pay $100 to purchase the game, then another $150 to just to be able to play the game, and that’s just for to make one build that will get “patched” very quickly, forcing you to pay another $150 if you wish to keep playing. If you truly wish to play this game on a competitive level, be prepared to hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. The servers are consistently near the bottom of the list with any form of online play. The latency difference between different game modes is absolutely insane, and is the same every single year. Cross play was implemented with the release of 2K24, and has been a disaster in my opinion due to the extreme differences of latency between Xbox and PlayStation. Your shot timing will be completely different between Xbox and PlayStation, which will force you to spend half the game trying to figure out when you need to release your shot in order for it to go in. You would think it would be a simple fix just by turning off cross play, and then you’ll only match up against other players that use the same console as you, but NO!!! This incompetent dev team couldn’t even get that right. Turning off cross play will only let you match against others that have turned off cross play, and you could sit for a half an hour waiting to get a game. Now, add in the amount of cheaters that play this game using devices that allow them to never miss a shot. This has been a growing concern for years, and is out of control with 2K24. Still, the developers haven’t released any anti cheating software to combat these issues. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PLAYER BASE!! I have been gaming over 30 years and have never seen a more untrustworthy dev team, a greedier dev team, nor a more out of touch with their community dev team. Complete incompetence and lack of integrity across the board. Every single aspect of the franchise as a whole has become horrible in every way!!! The franchise has been dying more and more each year, and is now officially dead with 2K24!! 👎 👎 👎
